Mighty Mouse’s character from the early 2D cartoon series was extremely hard to replicate in 3D because of the cheats in volume and squash and stretch of the 2D animation. We made many variations of him until we found something that worked. The idea behind creating the concept for the environments was to make a world that was visually normal to a mouse but abnormal to us as the human viewers. Skewing the perspective and making humans look like warped skyscrapers made a nice visual recipe.
